John Ackers and Stephen Taylor represented ICAG at this event. On Wednesday, May 18, LCC activists handed in the 10,000 signatures obtained for the No More Lethal Lorries Campaign. ICAG collected around 750 signatures on the Action Day on March 30 – other ICAG members signed on line. The text for the petition was:
“We ask that all London councils introduce cyclist-awareness training for all their lorry drivers and for all their subcontractors to enhance the safety of cyclists in London and prevent needless deaths and serious injuries caused by collisions with HGVs.”
