Like many local LCC groups, Cycle Islington led a feeder ride to the Prudential Freecycle on Saturday 29 July. About 70 people joined us at Highbury Fields to ride down to St Paul’s where we joined the motor traffic free route around London.
Many thanks to our ride leader Steve and our marshals John, Eilidh, Sheridan, Sarah, Paul and Alison, especially from the two young women that joined us and would not have considered cycling to the centre of London if we hadn’t organised the ride!
Like all local LCC groups, Cycle Islington will be leading a feeder ride to the Prudential Freecycle on Saturday 29 July. We’ll be meeting at Highbury Fields, near the war memorial, at 1030 and will return at about 1500. Keep an eye out for more details. And don’t forget to register !
On Saturday, August 3, Islington’s feeder ride will start at 10.30 from Highbury Fields, near the War Memorial, and guide cyclists to Blackfriars Bridge to join the main freecycle event. Many thanks to the 10 marshalls that have volunteered to help. Information about other feeder rides is available from London Cycling Campaign.
