At our AGM on 11 June, the following volunteers were voted onto the Cycle Islington Committee. We would like to thank everyone who stood for election and special thanks to Johanna for her work, particularly on the killer junction at Finsbury Park, over the past year.

We all look forward to meeting many members of Cycle Islington in the coming months at rides, outreach events and at our regular monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of the month at 1900 in the Town Hall. There’s lots to do and we need more than just the committee to really make the impact we need so don’t be shy, have a think about what you’d like to do and let us know !
The rest of the evening was fun; we had a Q&A with Tom Fyans, CEO LCC and Birgit Maas, a Joy Riders leader from Camden, we had a quiz (thanks to Jacob and Eloise), a raffle (thanks to Johanna) and we ate heroic amount of samosas and pakoras (thanks to Sue). And we might have had the odd glass or two of various beverages. It was a very social evening and we hope that all the members present enjoyed themselves – in particular our guests from Haringey, Hackney and Camden. Oh and Suami who came all the way from Italy !
