With thanks to Steve, and as part of LCC’s Festival of Cycling on 20 September, we organised a family ride over to the cycling hub at Victoria Park. It was such fun, even with the hastily remapped route due to the Shoreditch half-marathon event which came as a bit of a surprise to us – so we meandered over to the Lea Valley and past our favourite blackberry picking spot with a group of nearly 30 people of all ages and abilities. How the cargo bike managed to get up over the bridge over the Lea river at Spring Hill and down the other side remains a mystery but chapeau to the rider, the passenger and the marshals !
