Good news: the council is currently consulting on 124 – yes 124 – bike hangar proposals. Some of these will be double installations so potentially the 164 units which will be installed during Q1 2022 will be a massive help to people on the waiting list. Good, secure bike parking is key to encouraging and keeping people on their bikes and the council has already installed 244 hangars. The consultations will close on 8 October so please have a look and if there are streets near you on the list, respond asap.

The current cost of one place in a bike hangar is £107.25 per annum plus £25.75 for the key deposit.
