Beware Islington’s most dangerous junction

In early November, LCC launched a map of the most dangerous junctions in London.

Most serious and fatal collisions happen at junctions and ometimes they are so hostile that they act as a barrier to people cycling in and around a whole area. When they’re improved the payback is huge – they unlock miles of new cycle routes and make cycling, walking and wheeling safer for thousands of people.

The junction of Blackstock Road, Seven Sisters Road and Stroud Green Road has been identified as the most dangerous junction in Islington with one death, one life-changing injury and eight other injuries.    Here’s a video, made by Steve, of the junction where you can clearly see just how dangerous it is for people wanting to walk, wheel or cycle.

We are calling on Islington, Hackney and Harringey councils to work together to make this junction safe before there is another death or serious injury.
