Each year, the LCC holds its campaigners’ awards to recognise people, groups or councils whose contributions to cycling have been particularly noteworthy and we know that the LCC Campaigns team finds this a really difficult task. The choice of winners and runners-up for 2022 were no exception.
We are delighted that Cycle Islington’s Steve Knattress was nominated and won the ‘Talk Nicely’ award for his production of many videos over the years to promote cycling and LTNs and this year, for his video of our Make the Lane (again) protest on Old Street. This award is “For the group or individual working in imaginative ways to communicate the group’s aims, and boost community support for new schemes”.
He has already been booked by the LCC Women’s Network to video their Women’s Wonder Ride on Sunday 5 March.
